Lane Fox

Martha Lane Fox is a known philanthropist and public servant in London. An impressive career history, commencing in the era of the internet boom, with her co-founding the travel and leisure website Lastminute.com, Martha Lane Fox was the dot com queen.  A headliner in the paper for most of the dotcom boom and equally in the dot com bust Martha remained spirited setting her sights high, whilst dotcom colleagues returned to their day jobs.        

Her positive energy has seen her take her passion for social change has seen her launch the charity Antigone in 2007, which works with a small number of charities each year, learning more about the needs of socially excluded people so that they can help promote their successes to ministers and the press.

Martha is a non-executive board member at Marks & Spencers which leaves her with little time to herself. However, she wouldn’t have it any other way and as Baroness Lane-Fox of Soho (the hyphen being a non-negotiable condition of House of Lords membership), Martha is one of the youngest women in the upper chamber.

Martha hasn't left her internet ventures far behind having launched Lucky Voice, an enterprise consisting of seven private Tokyo-esk karaoke bars in and around the UK, which allows individuals to partake in karaoke either in one of the private bars or online via Lucky Voice Online Karaoke (luckyvoice.com).
